Along with special guests, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the crew head to Dubai to ring in the new year. Preparing for the trip is a piece of cake for the Vinyl Destination crew, Jeff’s better half, Lynette finds the prep a bit more complicated. Cue the violins while she pleads her case.
New Year’s Eve gets off to a blazing start with more than just fireworks lighting up the sky. Soon after, DJ Jazzy Jeff lights up Barasti Beach with an electrifying show.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew arrive at the Hong Kong airport. After lunch at their go-to fast food spot, nature calls for Dayne and DJ Ferno. With neither of them willing to answer the call in the airport, the roommates get into a standoff about who gets first dibs on the hotel bathroom. Next, Jeff and Steeve Blast take their yearly trip to the renowned Sneaker Street. Jeff is disappointed when the experience isn’t quite the way he remembered.
Then the guys venture off the beaten path on an ATV excursion through the jungle in Bali. Despite a few equipment malfunctions, the excitement continues.
Still on a high from the Shambhala Festival, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew head to Portland where the energy continues! The Do-Over celebrates their 10th anniversary with ten simultaneous parties in cities around the world, including Portland where Jeff is the surprise guest. Before hitting the road, Dayne Jordan and DJ Ferno play a game of “Whodunit” with some suspicious smells. As always, the vibe at the Do-Over is electric. Jeff is especially pleased to see Playlist Retreat alum Sosupersam rocking the party. Post-show, Dayne gets a little choked up after receiving an amazing gift made especially for him.
It seems things can’t get any better for the Vinyl Destination crew. But wait…THERE’S MORE. Next up is San Bernardino, California for the Nocturnal Wonderland Festival, and Jeff and the guys discover the festival definitely lives up to it’s name. Unseasonably cool temperatures and dust filled air are no match for a crowd entranced by DJ Jazzy Jeff’s killer set. Then the guys brush the dirt off their sneakers and head to Seoul, Korea. After a long journey, the first order of business is refueling the hungry crew, which is easier said than done in the wee hours of the morning. It turns out, hunger pangs are the least of their worries when a mysterious smell emerges from DJ Ferno’s direction…again.
This week on Vinyl Destination, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the crew are hyped for the show in Lucerne, Switzerland. They’re even more excited to watch the highly anticipated Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight (and…well…we all know how that turns out). After a last-minute schedule change the group winds up in Dubai much earlier than expected, causing a logistics snafu. Steve Blast steps in to save the day and is failed miserably by his outdated technology.
Before performing at Barasti Beach, Dayne Jordan and DJ Ferno decide to take a departure from the music industry to try their hands at a career in high fashion. Despite 100-degree weather and strange looks from beachgoers, the new “Dolce and Gabbana” take a dip fully clothed in the ocean and offer a tutorial on selvedge denim. The crew wraps things up in Germany followed by a few days of much needed R&R.
DJ Jazzy Jeff proves he’s one of the hardest working DJ’s around when he and the Vinyl Destination crew take down two shows in one night. Exhausted from last night’s double, the guys waste no time getting settled in on a long train ride to the next show. Let’s hope they don’t miss their stop. At first glance, it’s smooth sailing in the quaint little seaside town of Bognor Regis.
That is, until the hotel fire alarm sounds and the night takes an unexpected turn. There’s no turning back for DJ Jazzy Jeff and Dayne Jordan as they brace themselves for what turns out to be “one of the wildest shows of the whole tour.” Dayne has the time of his life and decides no one on earth can party better condom-adorned nuns, Where’s Waldo and a team of green army men.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and crew set out for another European journey. Before the adventures begins, DJ Jazzy Jeff must keep a 3 pointer tradition going, extending their departure time. Upon arriving in Manchester, the waiting game gets tense while the guys are stuck at the train station without a ride to the hotel. Steve gives some insight to keeping the group one happy family.
Before a stop in Charleroi, Belgium the crew celebrates Record Store Day in Manchester where DJ Jazzy Jeff takes to the streets for some digging. A few finds and a quick trip to Belgium bring them right back to the UK for a show the legendary DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’ 9”, aka Prhyme. After 15 years away from playing vinyl records, the show ends with a 45 set from DJ Jazzy Jeff.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew are in the midst of a tour of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand as they arrive in Auckland, New Zealand to film a video and do interviews for Serato, and enjoy the lavish life in the filming location's mansion surrounded by scenery reminiscent of an old school Puffy video. Jeff rocks the crowd at the Serato Christmas Party before jet setting over to Seoul, South Korea where he and the crew trade 80 degree weather for 30 degree cold. The ritual trip to McDonald’s and hotel to performance, leads the crew to Tokyo, Japan for a meeting with Pioneer, more crew shenanigans, record shop hopping, show rocking, and dinner magic tricks.
As the crew bids farewell to Japan, they head over to the heat of Jakarta, Indonesia where Dayne Jordan left something behind. Jeff does what he does best on the ones and twos and we find out how to tell if Jeff was there. Then, it’s off to Bangkok, Thailand for a rare day off and a chance for the Vinyl Destination crew to be tourists for a day. Jeff shows off his skills as the best Soul Train line escalator dancer before catching a taxi through the hectic streets of Bangkok.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew are trailblazing across the lower hemisphere. Within 24 hours rocking 3 shows across Australia the crew finds their way to Auckland, New Zealand for a visit to Serato. While in Auckland the fellas make their way up to the top of a volcano for and extreme 360 view of the city.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew are in Hong Kong. No visit to Hong Kong is complete without a trip to the renowned Sneaker Street. DJ Ferno and Dayne Jordan can’t believe their eyes as they peruse the shops in amazement. After the show, Dayne gets a chance to connect with fans old and new. Next up is Sydney, Australia where things get heated for Jeff at the hotel and the show. Later, Steve takes time to reflect on his experiences while roaming the streets of Melbourne.
In this episode of Vinyl Destination, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the crew explore the “Eternal City” of Rome. Dayne and Ferno marvel at the sights outside the Colosseum while DJ Jazzy Jeff reminisces of his first to the ancient city.
Plans to go inside the ancient amphitheater are are suddenly thwarted. Then the crew stumbles across local musicians who lure them into an impromptu street performance. Later Dayne and Ferno venture out to Vatican City and quickly discover that the hassles of public transportation are universal.
DJ Jazzy Jeff takes to the crates in Manchester bringing along DJ Ferno, Dayne Jordan, and Stevee Blast on a digging for 45's excursion. Someone forgot how to use a record player but soon finds themselves in the groove.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew end a 10 show, 10 day run in Paris. It’s DJ Ferno’s first time in the City of Lights, so he explores the city and takes in some sights. After a few verses of “Mama I Made It,” it’s off to the gig. Jeff has a show with a dear friend, Rich Medina.
The next stop is Amsterdam. With Rich joining the fun, the guys share some valuable information that makes him rethink his phone service. Feeling refreshed after some much-needed time off, the crew gets back in full gear with shows in Dresden, Germany, Warington, England and Oslo, Noway. Along the way, “Tickle me Ferno” emerges and Jeff finds out a tree grows in his hotel room.
It’s Easter on tour and DJ Jazzy Jeff is in Switzerland. The guys have Easter dinner Vinyl Destination-style on a layover in the Zurich airport. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Jay-Z…err...DJ Ferno experience mistaken identity on separate occasions. A star-struck driver is enamored with DJ Ferno, while Jeff’s “brother” hustles his way on stage at the show.
After that it's planes, trains and automobiles from Geneva to Dubai to Amsterdam to Brussels. Sleep-deprived and delirious, the crew copes with the rigorous travel by humoring themselves in some unconventional ways. A wheelchair race and secret handshake later, Skillz offers a PSA to promoters.
In Episode 4, DJ Jazzy Jeff kicks off his Spring European tour. This also marks DJ Ferno’s one year anniversary of joining the Vinyl Destination crew. First stop? Bristol, UK. Ferno’s celebration is derailed after a shopping trip forces him to re-evaluate his lifestyle. Next, Jeff heats up in London with a visit to the Boiler Room. Later in Lausanne, Switzerland Steve and Ferno embark on a food mission where language barriers and unseasonably cold weather pose unexpected challenges. And things get really interesting when Jack Sparrow shows up.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew leave Los Angeles, but the California Love doesn’t end there. They load up the truck head to San Jose. From that point on, the name of the game is food. But not for DJ Ferno, who’s trying to “cut back" in an effort to make the weight requirement for skydiving…or so he says. Does Ferno have the discipline? Jeff isn’t totally convinced he’ll succeed.
Next up is a trip to the snow-capped mountains of Vail, Colorado for a snowboarding event with Burton. For some, the altitude is too much to handle. Before the show, Skillz and DJ Ferno have a few tricks of their sleeve to help Ferno check off another item on his bucket list and take Jeff by surprise. Did somebody say skydive? OH! Some of the crew find themselves breathless after a first time encounter with Los Angeles's Runyon Canyon. Meanwhile, a well rested DJ Jazzy Jeff prepares for Guitar Center's Rock Walk event honoring some of the pioneers of DJing; Grand Master Flash, Grand Wizard Theodore, Grand Mixer DXT . Guests at the auspicious event included Herbie Hancock, Biz Markie, Z-Trip and DJ Q-Bert just to name a few.
